It’s been a little slow on progress since Thanksgiving. I got the rocker prepped

Fitted

And welded in

😀
I’m sloooooowly getting better at the welding thing 🙃

Before getting to a couple of spots on the inner fender with some holes, I need to take care of the inner section between the wheel well and the rear.

Besides the hole, the bottom edge was rusting through on the inside.

I still need to take care of those crusty bits on the inner fender, but it’s coming along.

Almost ready for my patch panel and a little cut and butt, a la Fitzee: Fitzee's Fabrications - https://www.youtube.com/@fitzeesfabrications

Since my last post, the cold has set here. It’s been colder then -20c for the last two weekends. At that temp, I’m not really able to work well, even with my heater running. I’m thinking of tarping off my work area to contain the heat, but haven’t got there yet.

But, the internet (Megazip) and the delivery services still run in the cold. 🙃

My power steering pump is a little crusty/leaky so I bought, what I hope, is enough to do a reseal. I wasn’t exactly sure what was in the kit (04446-60070) so I ordered the big o-ring for the housing (90029-20003), the smaller one for the pipe to the reservoir (96711-19019), and the bearing (90029-36003).
IMG_9535.webp

The kit has three large o-rings, one of which has double white marks and appears to be exactly the same as 90029-20003.

The two smaller o-rings look the same and the same as 96711-19019.

I’m not impressed with the bearing. Made in China by NTN. Marked 6202Z. Packaging says 90029-36003 made in Japan.

Good Times came from Japan where a PO had all of the rear accoutrement, like the license plate light, rear window washer and spare tire carrier, removed. So I got the “Lamp Assembly License Plate” (81270-60221) to help combat the winter blues

I’m not too sure about resurrecting the rear wiper, but I’m on the lookout for a spare tire carrier.

Do you just want the rear tire carrier that mounts on the right rear door ?

I have the one I pulled off mine when I put the Cruiser outfitters bumpers on so I would be happy to give that to you. I will message you directly and we can make a plan to get it to you.
