What do ya'll think of this inverter? http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=336151&pn=2

It seems like a very good deal to me, and seems like it has plenty of built in protection. Any insight? I figure I might as well get a "big" one right away.

As an aside, does anyone know if a larger inverter draws more current than a small inverter? ie: a large inverter vs. a small inverter; if both have the same load, does the larger inverter draw more anyway?

I don't know too much about these inverters, but a buddy of mine brought a little Tripp Lite inverter on a recent camping trip and I was VERY impressed. It charged batteries and did everything we needed. It makes me wonder if I even need my Honda generator.

I think I remember there being some warnings about charging batteries for tools with an inverter, but i can't remember for sure, maybe someone else will remember.

If you go to one of the inverter manufacturer websites, it should have examples of what you can run with xxxx amps, to give you an idea of how big of an inverter you want to get.

outbackpower.com is the place to buy the most durable inverter ever built. I also know one of the cofounders personally. Thay can take a beating from the deserts of the middle east to other extreem enviroments. It is the only inverter that is sealed.
