I’ve gotten a little more done lately, bed floor, spare tire and jack mount. Also did some stuff to the interior, mounted the speakers in the side panels and insulated and covered the back panel. Little by little it’s getting done. Any recommendations for somewhat quiet off road tires? I do plan on wheeling it, I have done some already, but most of the noise now comes from the tires.

Finally getting ready to paint, touch up body work,clean really well, and shoot it. It will be my first try spraying a car, I’ve done lots of rattle can painting so we’ll see how it comes out.

Still some disassembly to do, but had help over to remove the bed.

Got it sprayed! Not a show quality paint job for sure, but I’m satisfied for a daily driver/ trail rig. Now to put it all back together.hopefully tomorrow and a couple of evenings next week, I am ready to drive it again.

Getting things put back together, man there is a lot. Trying to have it ready to drive this weekend, we’ll see.

I used 5mm plywood for the base and covered it with canvas drop cloth, then painted the lower portion based on the original pattern. Painted the speaker cover also, both with the exterior color.
