Just got back from deployment and am home to Atlanta for a couple weeks. Brought the yota to do some wheeling (Florida sucks). But it wont charge due to a pretty much fully burnt up charging system (including the harness). I think I'll just do the GM 1 wire swap... can anyone help me get this done FAST? Truck is in Roswell/Canton area but I can get it most anyhwhere if I have to. Then we can get some people together and go beat on my my truck offroad.

PLEASE HELP

As long as there's enough metal left to hold the seat in place!

You can come up to Buford on Saturday. Dad will be around the house to help you out if you want. I'll be at work but I bet Ted and Dave will be around to help supervise.

Yep! (natty) is required by the host for services though

I'll be there!... somehow. Anywhere there or nearby to park my tractor trailer in case I have to trailer the truck over there?

How much brew do I need to bring? And what time should I plan to show up?

Thanks guys.

You can park your tractor trailer in the neighborhood that is being built behind dad's house. 10AM would be a good time to show up. I will PM you with the address and his number.

Thanks again!

Do they still have the rule in effect where I wont be able to drive the big rig across the dam on 20? I'll have to go across 92 in that case.

dam on 20??? I think you're confusing 20 with Buford Dam Rd. which... well... has a dam...called...Buford Dam, imagine :flipoff2:

20 is the main road from Cumming to Buford, only 1 small bridge that I know of crossing over the hooch at the county line.

Hehe, woops. Can you tell I've been away a while? So yeah, I was obviously thinking of Buford Dam rd. Belay my last.

probably too much sand in the brain cavity, welcome home!

In my case - too much salt! Hehe

So, I never got an answer on how much natty; And which variety- light or ice or other?

The host normally charges me a 30 pack of natty lights with an understanding that if we run out "someone" is walking to Krogers for more. hahaha. It's a great deal and to date I've not had to walk the 1/2 mile. :D:D

They make 30 packs??? Doesn't matter, we'll have it there. I may make my way over late tonight so I don't have to deal with the traffic and the heat of the sun. Either way, see y'all in the morning about 10am.

Running behind guys. Won't make it by 10. Maybe 10:30 or 11. I'll call John when I'm about 30 minutes out.

Thanks John for all the help and use of the tools and supplies and for being the lifesaver who actually HAD the alternator I needed on hand. Thanks to Ted for the helping hands and for resisting the temptation to bang on the bed of my truck to see what'd happen. And thanks to Dave for being a good shop supervisor.

Well guys, all was well til I went to drive it back to the trailer for taking the whole rig back to Florida. Once again, no charge! Haven't gotten it back out of the trailer yet to check it out though. I hope that it just got some mud or water in it and is easily rebuildable or replaceable.

John - is there a model that this alt came off of if I take it to a parts store to have it tested?
