Nice Prado CAT77, did U import it, and how long do you have it ?? In ZA we recieved the 1KZTE in the previous Hilux, 90 Prado and current 120. I sold my Hilux (KZTE) with ±300,000km and only had a head & gasket failure.

I love the idea of a D/D, off roader & competition Cruza, like mine aswell.

Here is pics of my first roll in mine, this Saturday 29 August.

Hi Tassi Toy Uki, nice rig mate. Are the front locker not a bit of a drawback when off roading in 4WD ? Meaning that it increases the turning circle and heavier turner at lower speeds ? Mine's turning circle is really awesum.

IIRC the 73 was discontinued in '86/'87 ?

Hi benniebez, thanks for the kind words. Front locker has not changed the turning circle much when in 2wd but has increased it a little in 4wd. If turning under heavy load, nose down it will get to a point where the steering locks up. But only for a few inches of forward travel then it releases and continues on fine. The difference it made to the vehicle is unreal. Yet another mod that works great. Check out this video to see how well it does on the short climb, Not a big step but quite steep. You will see that i get no wheel spin unlike the Suzuki. The Suzuki has the rear locker turned on, but the BJ has factory rear LSD and front Lockrite. BTW mine is def. 11/1988 build and has the 3b blue (or II) engine.

7. DD. Here where we live that means off road everyday. It is also used to transport supplies to and from missionaries' homes in tribal locations, and to our bush plane which I then fly to and from tribal airstrips with supplies. Fantastic vehicle for this purpose. Affordable, great ride for long trips, fuel efficient, and tough as nails. I couldn't be happier... no issues with overheating cause I rarely ever see 100km/h. Fast is 40-60 here:doh:
