Having my windshield replaced at the dealer with their local installer that does all high-end glass.

Wanted to go with OEM glass and am happy with reviews I see for local Lexus dealer.

Exactly what seals/parts are included in the 200 windshield replacement kit?

What should I be on the lookout for after install other than wind noise, leaks, upper/right/lower seal installation and lower fascia/cowling install?

Thanks!

I"d add a reliable connection between the windshield wiper deicer system and wiring under the cowl.

Look for bubbles or other signs of less-than-perfect contact in the auto wiper window near the rear view mirror. I think they are supposed to replace the little $25 patch of special tape every time, and even then it’s possible to get bubbles

Make sure the VIN window lines up.

Make sure the trim at the top is mostly behind the windshield and within the void between the glass panel and the vehicle body. It should not rise out. I tracked down a whistle noise at freeway speeds to non-factory trim in this location. If you search for my name and windshield whistle you should find the thread with pictures.

Per factory procedure just the side trim reinstall requires all-new clips along the sides of the windshield, and a flexible epoxy to adhere the new stainless upper trim hooks to the body for the top ends. Many installers will try to reuse the clips and put urethane on the upper hooks. This is why my side trim was clearly going to fall off at some point.

I haven’t pulled the cowl cover yet to know what parts need to be replaced there.

Thanks much! Saw your pictures and appreciate it!
