Always wanted one. Started with an FJ40 and then this sweet old girl came up.

Sold new in 1978, the previous owner recorded every tank of gas he purchased, right up until he parked it for rust in the late 90s. 25 years later, it’s running again. 90,157.8 original kilometres.

Plan is to restore to drivable and then enjoy. Body mounts, cancer surgery, paint and a replacement window.

Welcome to the disease!

And as you know...the disease is tin worm.

Well, you could always say that at least in baseball crooked numbers are better. This is the strange, higher-order calculus that only the chosen get. Congrats, deuces wild!
Higher order calculus! Yes!!!

Complete down to the factory am radio. Other than the rust, she’s a survivor with 2f and 4spd.

Here’s the list so far:

-cab mounts, bushings
-exterior metal work: rockers, fenders, tailgate, hood, rears
-minor floorboard repairs
-recover seat
-full service
-paint
-shocks
-tires
-re and re rear bumper
-rear passenger glass

Drive forever….

Wow, looks awesome!
I don't see any PS or AC, eh?
I love the fact that it is a LHD, but your speedo is in km/h.
'78's are great. Not sure if I feel like that b/c my first Cruiser (40) is a '78.
Does your front end have disc and ASCO lockouts?
Yes, discs and Ascos. No PS or AC though
