What limits have you found on trail (this can help know what mitigation options might help)?

I bet elevation plays a major role in whatever is causing the limitation. I don't really have to deal with that power robbing x-factor.
Height-related issues, not power issues. Rock ledges I can't quite get over, trying to plow snow with my axle, etc.

Makes sense why you're looking at 35-37" tires and regearing. 3" of lift on Icons with supporting mods and 35 Cooper STT Pros was a good recipe for me. I don't have clearance issues that line selection can't usually get around. 37" gives max 1" more under the axle but a lot more unsprung weigh at each wheel, not worth the tradeoffs to me. The transfer case regearing (both high and low) are the easier route, and keeps diff gearing on the table if you ever need more. I went with the Sumo gears. I wouldn't crack the diffs without adding lockers - they are truly a magical addition. The PO of mine did lockers but didn't regear - really an odd choice (given the tiny difference in parts cost, same labor), but maybe a cost driven decision.
