Hey, guys.
I'm experiencing a lag in the engagement of my transmission after the initial startup of the vehicle. I'll try to explain. The vehicle will go into first gear no problem on startup but after I've driven for a minute or so then stop, it will rev up as it searches for first again then jump into gear after a few seconds. Doesn't matter if I apply the gas, it won't come out of neutral until it's gone through this little song and dance. The issue tends to go away once I've driven for a while. Not sure if this makes sense but hoping someone understands what I'm talking about. Some sensor (throttle sensor?) glitch? Any ideas?

I would try the party trick and a rodney flush

search will give all the details about each

Low fluid levels that come up as the fluids heat up can do this.

You must, must, must check the trans fluid hot (as hot as possible) with the engine running, per the owner's manual, and see that the level is correct. Use Dexron III if you do a drain/fill.

Will the Rodney flush fill or just cycle the amount that is in there?
