Has anybody installed any of those new "sidewinder" style garage door openers?

The doors on my garage now are crap, cheap Homey Depot tin garbage. One is buckled at the top from the Sears center garage door opener, I've had to add stiffeners. I've already figured out how to re-frame for 8' doors, but I'd really also like to get rid of the openers in the center.

Yes, I have two in my new shop building, operating 10' x 10' doors. They are smooth and quiet; I like them way better than the older overhead openers. They pull much more evenly, don't need to be adjusted as often, and take up almost no space. I would never go back to the overhead chain/belt style.

I'm just wrapping up my new garage. The interior ceiling height is 9 feet 5 inches and it's a great height. Higher would be better if I wanted a lift but that's not on my long term list. Also, 12 foot walls would have made the garage look abnormally high compared to my house. I think 9 feet 3 inches would be a minimum. That's the lowest you can go with 8 foot high doors and standard door tracks. I've had 7 foot doors, yes they work and are better than nothing, but 8' ones just make life less stressful. Now if you only had cars, 7' is plenty. But then you probably wouldn't be on Mud.

I installed two of these and I love them. Super quiet, smooth, and easy to get both openers and lights working together. I held off on getting a door opener for the door on the back of the garage thinking I will just get a basic one if I ever feel the need. Well, a basic one won't happen after having these, just gotta save a couple more pennies. I'm not sure how hard they are to install though as the door people installed them.
