Looking at your multimeter leads touching the connector, I'm not sure what the goal is.
2 and 3 are the motor. Unless I'm wrong it looks like you are on 4 & 6 which would confirm the limit switch is closed. Putting 12V on a closed switch would arc.

I'm thinking of trying to find a used one but, I know its not going to be easy and i may be stuck with rebuilding it any way. Like I posted earlier i may just end up going with chilkat manual set upOK gotcha.
The motor is a basic dc motor. You can disassemble to diagnose. I had one where the magnet glue failed and they came out with the rotor so watch out for that. It took me lots of searching on this site and thinking before I was sure I got them glued in the right spot and in the right N-S configuration.
