OP stated he was doing more than the grill... he derived the 5 from the 55 like fenders and the 45-like bed that are to come.

Copy. Didn't catch that. Well then, onward.....

60 boxiness up front- 80 curves in the rear............kinda like givin your rig a mullet......

Tube fenders, doors and 45 bed to come. It's taking a while though since it's a daily driver. The mullet was transitional and cool for a few months, so I'm hoping I can pull it off till I can really get it looking good.

Heard this is on hold for a little while. So sad.

Looks really good with the round lights. The front end w/o the grille kind of reminds me of an early 80's pick up in some of the pics.

Since this is the op's dd and he already sold the oe grille/lights did he get the 60 grille in there and looking good before the project got put on hold?

D

I redid the brackets because the lights were set back too far and didn't look right. I just have to brace up the grille some more, and I'm waiting till my other custom bumper sells so that I can buy a tube bender.
My wife's Ford Expedition needed some attention. I just ordered all the parts to replace all the rubber on the front end and to give it a 3" lift, and it's getting converted into a Lincoln Navigator. As I run into a mental wall on one, I switch and work on the other for a while. Here's some before pics of my other project.
I'll get some after pics as soon as it's not some crappy and rainy outside. (the bumper was someone else's junk job. )

What are you gonna turn that Cherocar into? :D

It has independent front and rear suspension and a pretty sweet v8. So it's really nice on the road and on trails (lady ones without rocks). So, it's getting 2007 Lincoln lights and grill, 3 inch lift, I already put an 05 hatch and bumper on it, Lincoln side molding, and I think I'm going to build some bushwacker style flares for it. And it'll get a prerunner style tube bumper and show skid plate (it'll be functional too, but I'll never put it through something hard enough to really need it.). This one is just a less complicated build and it's making the :princess: happy.
Last but not least, it'll be finished with some rockrails and 35s.
And it's a fully boxed frame, limited slip in the rear... it's a good truck. Different purpose, but still a good truck.

Some new pics!

I took the family out in the cruiser. The lights look good now, but shake a little, so they need more bracing... just like the grille. Anyway, just got out for a couple hours. I really haven't done much with it lately.

looks like kids having fun.....

i almost wonder is the better move is to fiberglass up a body set to a standard 80 series hood and fender set to make it look for like the 60.....

no matter the case - I like what you experiencing / playing with

rock on dude!!!

I have been looking for a 60 hood. I found one local for 150, which frustrates me because when I parted one out, I sold one WAY cheap. It wouldn't bolt right up, but the lines match... so it shouldn't be too hard.
And the reason for tube fenders is so that I have more clearance without getting more lift. If I were to get some 60 fenders on there, then my tire stuffing hole would get smaller. But right now I'm saving some money for a bender. It's something that I've been wanting to get for a while.

Have you considered a body lift? :meh:

No. I want to keep center of gravity as low as I can get it. I almost sold this rig before I got in one the major work. The time consuming labor oriented mods keep me entertained and keeps me from selling it.

Or just opening up the wheel wells - which won't effect the COG. But neither is as cool (but hell of alot easier) as tube fenders styled like a 55 - which I'm curious to see how they turn out.
