Is this connection necessary?

Because it would constantly get exited having a constant voltage on the S terminal, right?

Yup, it’s the same idea as my tester cable except we are manually applying power vs permanently attached. It bypasses the entire ignition system.

It's funny how the solenoid connector from China arrived before the one ordered on Amazon the same day.
Apparently I got confused by the Aliexpress description of those connectors. Only one arrived instead of what I thought it was a pair, male and female side.
I had to order the other one today too. I guess 2 more weeks.

They don't come as a pair. You need to order them separately, unless there is a deal out there for the pair.

This is what got me confused. I thought everything would be included as the list here describes the "contents".

@Dragos have you done this?
I took the easy way out.
This morning I completed the Ford solenoid hack.
I had to wait for parts from China to arrive.
Meanwhile I had to use a wire linked to the starter and the battery to get it started... for about 2 weeks or so.

After completing the wiring this morning she fired up without any hesitation.

It would be worth getting some boots for those exposed contacts so you don't end up with an unplanned welding event. Don't ask me how I know this...

True.
I was thinking about a possible short as I was tightening the nuts on those terminals with a wrench.
Yes, you never know what you will use under the hood one day and by mistake touch those points.

I finally got to installing these boots.
They fit perfectly on the outside terminals, but are a bit too big for the middle ones, however it still works fine.
