Very nice! Wife and I have been poking around at 4-door convertibles, mostly for her to drive. I'm not sure if she'd want to drive kids and groceries around in a 40 or not, but she does want me to have a 40 some day. Where in Michigan are you? She might be tempted if it's not too far from Holland.

Hamilton - just down the street. We chatted a while back about our Hundys.

Drove it: winding roads, dirt road, up to highway speed on a country road. It drives better than the new 4-door Jeep I rented last Fall, not a rattle or pull or loose feeling anywhere. This is basically a new vehicle but 10X cooler, I would have no problem with my wife or kid driving it cross-state. Wife liked it, was impressed with how comfortable it is.

It's a little out of my budget, or a little early, I'm planning on getting a boat or fun car for next Summer. But now that I've looked at and driven it, it's a lot tougher to wait and hope something this awesome comes along again. Decisions, decisions...

Dude if I wasn't in the process of selling my house and buying another old one (circa 1850 = lots of $ to dump into it) I'd be all over this! Recently bought another 80 from Reno and shipping wasn't that big of a pain FWIW.

@ScottM: Great to meet other cruiser owners - thanks again for your hundy timing belt write up, it was a huge help.

eBay ad has been written and I'm almost ready to post it, if I didn't continue to have second thoughts on keeping this rig forever. Here's another couple of shots of the underside of this beauty.
