Hi all, I am now the proud owner of a 1975 FJ45 flat tray petrol 2F motor. I picked it up preety cheap as the guy I bought it off had it on the market at much higher price but while someone was test driving it it ran out of fuel and now wish new fuel in it has fuel supple issue and is hard to start. I have repalced the fuel filter and used an aerosol carby cleaner sprayed the carbi but still no joy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

disconnect the fuel line to carb, when cranking is it pumping fuel at a good rate?
if so the problem is at the carb, if not the problem could be a plugged pickup in the tank, bad fuel pump or other issue.

Thanks I have replaced the fuel filter, blowen back the fuel line to the tank and now have fuel to the carbi and I've sprayed carbi cleaner down the carbi but no joy! as I'm not the most mechanically minded I think I'm going to have to get someone to have a look at it btu thanke for the reply *3_puppies!
