I got a poly tank a couple of years back when my OEM rusted through (I know, I know) and just plugged the extra vent lines with rubber "problem solver" caps. Well these seem to get eaten pretty quickly and the other day I started smelling strong fumes and found fuel running down the frame rail  Turned out one of these corroded and it was sloshing out the top after I filled up ...

What do you guys use?

There are sealants of the rtv type that are resistant to gasoline. Available at the autoparts store.

I think he meant just enough hose to slip a bolt in the other end.

Not that I would know.
