Fuel line compatibility between 1991 3fe and 1993-98 80's

Does anyone know if the fuel line routing from the tank forward are the same, between all year 80's? I know at the engine they will be should be different b/c of different engines, but trying to figure out my options to replace lines on my 91'. Thanks in advance.
 
Does the 3FE have a charcoal canister? I can't remember one there. If not, that's different for the 1FZ-FE engines. There are three lines from the tank on the 1FZ-FE. from the fuel tank forward. One is delivery (from the pump), one is a breather and the third, IIRC, is the charcoal canister line.

I am pretty sure It does have the canister, just looked at diagrams.

I'd guess you could use the rearmost hardline assembly and connect the forward hoses where you needed them. They look different, and have different part numbers, but that doesn't mean they won't work. Not much help, am I?
 
No, that is very helpful, the routing to the front may very well be different. Follow up question, the fuel filters for all U.S. spec 80's appear very similar, with the fz engine model looking like it only has a different bracket. This is from the sor website, for what its worth. if they are the same sized banjo fitting connections, then possibly the hoses I need for my 3FE fuel filter and close to or the same as the ones for the fz. The fz ones can be found online, but the 3fe NLA. Just trying to get creative here before I go full hotrod on the filter system. Thanks

My 1995 fuel lines are Ø6-mm, if that helps.

The banjo fitting (bolt, union) is 90401-12097 for all models. That fitting is also used on the fuel pump, along with (2) sealing washers (gasket) 90430-12005, for each banjo bolt.

The fuel filter on the 1FZ-FE mounts on the lower side of the intake manifold, with two bolts. My fuel filter, which I know fits, because I just installed the same one on another 80 of the same year, is 23300-66040 (which isn't listed anywhere). The catalog says the numbers for 3FE and 1FZ-FE are 23300-69035 and -69045, resp.

Everyone slots the rear hole, which isn't the slotted hole on the OEM bracket, all the way open, to get it on easier. Here are more photos of the filter:

Could be different, but I'd be surprised if they were. Fuel lines are pretty much standardized.
 
Lengths might be different 3FE fuel lines run along the us passenger side. Fuel filter is also located on the frame rail. If I'm not mistaken on the 1fz it's all on the driver side to include the charcoal canister.

correct, on the 91'3FE lines go up the passenger side to the ff, that is likely why they are not compatible if the 1fz is all drivers side. appreciate all the info and help.
 
23300-66040 is not a Toyota service part number.

The correct part number is 23300-69045. 23300-66040 is just the filter unit itself and cannot be sourced separately from Toyota or anywhere. When the bracket is added it takes the part number of a "kit" or an "assembly," so to speak. Hence the -69045.

Very similar to the fuel pump relay which has a part number just for the relay but when added with the bracket becomes 28380-66010

Thank you for the insight. Interesting correlation of individual digits of part numbers to specifications. Does the system work similarly to VIN numbers? with each digit alone or partial series having it's own meaning? If so, is there a key to the code? Thanks again to all, let's see how this all works out.

That has got to be the winning quote of the day. This 80 of mine is full of surprises, I'm going to need advice going forward too. So for purely selfish reasons, may I suggest wearing a helmet?

Reviving this old thread. For the 1FZ trucks, the fuel hardlines run along the driver’s side from the tank to the engine bay, correct?
