waiting for part II...... tuning MS

Give me a day to find my notes. The easiest way to tune is to find someone else's setup on the constants, VE table, and enrichments. I would be happy to send my MS files to anyone.

So you pulled the stock fuel pump out of the side of the block, but what did you do to cover the hole? I mean, if the stock pump is rocker or crank powered, wouldn't pulling the pump leave an oil weeping hole?

What I used was a cover plate from a 22RE (I believe). The 22R motor had the mechanical fuel pump, when they went fuel injections, they must have used the same block but blocked of the FP hole. You can also look at the performance section of any parts store. The bolt pattern is the same as those Chevy block of plates. Just use a 2F fuel pump gasket between the pump and the block and you are good to go. If you don't use the fuel pump spacer, you will need to get shorter bolts.

84Cruiser did a write-up on his TBI on a 2F not too long ago. He'll prolly be selling the whole setup in the near future.

Do you know f you can use a fuel injector, computer and whatever else is needed(?) straight from an FJ62 and install it into an FJ60? Any idea if so what is needed and about how much time it may take a skilled mechanic to do this switch? I'm trying to find ways to improve higway gas mielage. Thanks

I sure would like to see part 2

JDay,
Still waiting :p

I really enjoyed reading your first long post. I am now looking forward to the tuning and pics post if you have them and decide to be kind enough to post those!

Thanks!
