So I did a compression test yesterday on my 1hdt.

I followed a post on here which was very helpful.

I disconnected the fuel solenoid to the fuel pump and Cranked it to make sure there wasnt being any fuel injected
Then tested through the glow plug holes in order.
However fuel (quite a lot) seemed to leak out of cyl 4 while testing.
I cant work out how this would happen and only to this cylinder
But I feel like whatever it is probably explains it only running on 5 cylinders at idle

anyone got any ideas whats going on?
and how to remedy ?
TIA
Ben

Did you release the fuel rail pressure BEFORE cranking? Otherwise, whatever pressure was there, was injected into the cylinder with the weakest injector, I would assume.

I cranked with the glow plugs etc in so I would assume any fuel injected would have fired that cylinder?
It didnt even cough...
