Fuel gauge off??

Just filled up the 80 today. Took 13 gallons to fill. The gas gauge showed 1/4 of a tank left. According to the FSM the factory tank holds 25.1 gallons. So, I had 12 gallons left with the gauge showing 1/4 of a tank. Seems a bit odd, do the rest of you have the same issue?? Do all 80's have such a pessimistic gas gauge??

Fuel gauge shows full: 25 gal

Fuel gauge shows half: 15 gal

Fuel gauge shows empty and light comes on: 5 gal

(I.e., 5 gal "secret" reserve.)

More or less...

I have boticed when its on E there is probably 4-5 gallons left. Based on how much it takes to fill up.
