Fuel Filter Replacement? Yes? No?

I used a WIX filter, zero issue for 2 yrs now. You must hear the click.
I drove it another 30 miles last night without any issues and then stopped at the mechanic's place to have him look at it. It's locked in place, the green clip is not broken and working fine, and the flange on the metal 'L' tube of the filter is holding the fuel line as it should. I hope that was just a fluke (installed by the mechanic incorrectly) and I've got nothing to worry about from now on. I can handle clunks and other minor stuff...but gasoline dripping onto a hot manifold isn't so great. Thanks for your input.

Meh, just make sure your insurance is paid and you're good.

The part includes the L-shaped clip and the fuel hose.

Small piece runs about $5.

Fuel hose with plastic clip runs about $80.

Those are dealer prices. Can be had for less.

Did you end up changing the hose (23271-50150) as well or should I just replace the green clip (90923-07002)?

Neither should need replacing, during a simple fuel filter replacement. Just transfer the green clip over to new filter.
I keep a new green clip on-hand, but never need it.
