front marker lights not on fender/????FJ45

I am looking at a 1977 Fj45 Truck from Nicaragua and the marker lights are not on the front fenders as in every Fj45 I have seen.I saw an Fj40 with this different lights and i wonder why are they mounted differently??? Are these a south American edition? Here is a picture.

Those are lights from a 70 series cruiser.

Check out Henry James the 47th's thread--he put the 70 series turn signals on his 47.

They look sharp, if you're into that sort of thing. Seem to be more out of the way, and it's serious cruiser bling to have anything from a 70 in my book!
