Hey guys, sorry to revive this thread from the dead, but I am trying to install the same speakers into my truck, and fix a leaky door panel issue in the process. Take a look at my first post here to describe the problem:

Wouldn't installing on the outside of the door panel cause the same problem - water leaking into the door cavity through the speaker housing, and making the panel wet?
OP, did you see any water in your door panel after installing like this?

Hi guys, Having a hell of a time rebuilding my speakers and door panels after discovering a major leak over the winter. So the sthort story is the PO replaced the factory speakers with aftermarket ones. Basically he put them on the outside of the door panels, and screwed them into the doors...
