marlin kicks ass, buy his s*** or call kurt at coutfitters for everything you need, buy all oem seals (except marlins inners), bearings, etc (koyo), also other guys like cdan, poser, etc that sell their stuff on here, all good service.....
I wouldn't recommend anyone do what I have. As previously stated, I recommend the Minitruck swap. These knuckles were done by a professional welder not myself. Maybe the member who had them made will chime in, maybe not. The ears are burned in extremely well, but I wouldn't have it done over again. 
These are very safe, but there are very easy ways to make them un-safe.
Poser's right to recommend against it. You should have someone with the necessary welding skills do it, but it doesn't even make sense when starting from scratch. You want mods that give you options. If you want to see it just for proof it exists, I can take some. Hell, it took almost as much work as a Mini swap. I still had to pull the knuckles, which isn't all that hard.

i realy would like to see pics of welded ears,i have a 84 toy 4x4 pu i picked up for $60 after it got rolled,so ive gotthe brake parts to put on my spare front end.
i still like razin poser because he is so much smarter than me on cruisers(but ive seen pics,im better lookin!!!!!!!!)

That's a good price if the birfs, calipers and rotors are in good shape, and assuming it includes aisin hubs. While its true the mini swap can be inexpensive, if you foolishly start with parts from a thrashed mini axle, it ain't necessarily so. Don't ask me how I know.
If you end up with trashed parts, replacements will cost something like:
Caliper (rebuilt forerunner V6, loaded) $100/side (kragen)
rotor (decent quality, non oem) $75/side
birfield (new aftermarket, minitruck style) $40/side (ebay)
Wheel bearings (koyo) $40/side - from kurt
Used Aisin hubs - $30/side off POR board
These costs would be on top of the cost of a knuckle rebuild kit w/ knuckle bearings - about $100 from kurt, which you should definitely install when changing the mini components over to the LC axle.
The prices above were not the cheapest I could find, but what I considered the best value.
Regardless, the miniruck/FJ60 disk brake knuckle upgrade is the right choice.

As I stated, my prices reflect what I considered to be the best value, not the cheapest price.
I purchased the higher performance V6 calipers, not the $50 4 bangers noah linked above. personal choice. The point wasn't the precise price of each part, but rather the significant expense of rebuilding thrashed mini "knuckles out" disc brake parts.
However, Noah is partially correct, I paid about $75/pair for my rotors (japanese aftermarket) not $75 each. I don't think I would want to drive my V8 FJ40 with my wife and 1000 pounds of gear and rely on $17.00 rotors.

So what exactly am I checking for when I go and pick up these parts.. Any tell tale signs to look for???
Let me know what you guys think about my rear axle, I feel like I might have put to much cream on the tacos!!! Not to mention its all going to get trashed as soon as I go have some fun..

opinions are like assholes, eveyone has one.
my opinion is that all this stuff comes from the same overseas manufacturers and have never had any problems with the cheapest rotors and calipers, been running them on my 40 for years and in my 4runner with no problems ever, in the end you are just paying more......
