Front control arms, upper and lower-- do we know who the OEM is for them?

There's not a known rebranded part like there is for some other things, they're likely Toyota made. You can look at 555 arms, available through Cruiser Outfitters, or just replace the bushings and ball joints.

$350 each is painful, with 4 of them.

Do we know who made them for Toyota?

Parts like that are generally stamped and welded/manufactured by Hino. Then the joints are sourced usually through Koyo/JTEKT. Then the hardware by yet many other suppliers.

A part like that probably has 8-12 suppliers.

You won’t be getting them from Toyota supplier selling it as an aftermarket part.

No way to buy OE Toyota ball joints for this location, outside of buying the arms, either?

It is made by toyota. Most toyota parts in toyota's are made by them in their own AISIN, DENSO subsidiaries.
Toyota does not sell just the ball joint alone. It is the entire arm. I spent nearly $1600 for suspension front and back all OEM toyota.

Alright, OE Toyota complete arms it is.

... Looks like the OE arms are more affordable if ordered from Japan, so at least that lessens the sting a bit.

Don't forget shipping and tariffs.
Yeah, I know, but...
$350 + shipping each for arms from the cheapest dealer I can find in the USA
$140 + shipping ($38) each for arms from Japan (Impex). Tarrifs will add probably another $15 (as it's on their cost, not MSRP, and not on shipping)

Shipped, still well under half pricing shipping it from Japan than buying in the USA.

There is a very good chance the shipping is going to be double that and tariffs will include the 15% on parts from Japan + 25% on metal and aluminum parts.

read some threads on here about tarrifs before making a big purchase from Impex. on an order i was charged about 80% tariff rate, and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it. Whatever you do, do not choose UPS to ship parts from Japan

No purchases from overseas for me! Expect at least 52% (tariffs, tax, landing charges). I bought a starter solenoid for the Hilux $115 value from Japan, but paid $60 as duties on top of $115! I had DHL, but why UPS ^^^?

That's how I bought mine, pre-tariff.

I bit the bullet and ordered my arms during the Summer 25% off sale from Sera Toyota.

I've been buying a LOT of parts from Impex and Partsouq recently, and have had no such issues...

My last shipment from Japan cost me 120% of CoG in tarriffs, from UPS.

I guess using DHL and FedEx?

I've gotten tariff bills-- they've just been the expected 15%.
Just as a follow up, just got my tariff bill for my recent Impex order. Seems cheap, yet again...
