I was thinking of function then fashion, but then I guess the farm gate on the 40 in the chit chat thread is functional.

Doesn't look that bad to me, but not sure if that outer frame would have enough support to stop a deer anyway. You can't have everything. Ignore me, and stick with what you like.

Chris - the first brushed on one (lower bar, not at hood level) is the one I was thinking of. Thought it would add some good meat and help ad insurance against bending it into the body etc. Also, that second bar is high enough that it should push any deer meat out of the way before it would hit the rest of the truck. Maybe not, but who knows.

Either way, it's a darn nice bar. Great work.

That is a SWEEET bumper but the driving force in my bumper decision will be deer protection. I agree the 1st pic with the bar above the signals looks best so far. Keep playing with the design, you can only benefit. I think a utilitarian design will sell better than a pure rock climber.
