fried winch motor

After doing the diagnostic test from the Warn service manual, as far as I can tell, I have burned out my winch motor. I will either need to get it rebuilt or replaced.

Any of you have experience with DB electrical? They offer a refurbished WARN motor for $99.

a new one from Buck Sullivan is $250.

I may take it to Grays Electric and see how much it will cost to fix.

Any other options y'all know of?

Did you replace it yourself? How long have you had it? Did you do anything to seal it watertight?

DB electrical is about seven miles from my place, they are a stand up operation and back up their products. Can't go wrong here.
