Brian the owner been trying to get me to buy it for the last 4 years. I wasn’t interested because I know how much money it needs invested plus being 6 ft tall i’m not going to fit inside to drive it anyway. He wants me to have it one way or another so not worth looking a gift horse in the mouth.
I might do a Westy restore and just get her going again.

I just got her home and dumped her in the driveway and took a two pics for you guys. Im stuffed been a long day working with a 16ton tilt tray moving stuff around from property to property. I will post some better pics tomorrow.

with the clear skies in the pics, I sure hope you aren't near any of the fires. some areas don't look so good.

It went through the back of Coffs three weeks ago and we lost most state and national parks in the area. Three dead and a heap of homes lost. Most who live in the bush blocks have lost everything with no insurance. The tow truck company where I work have been providing free freight moving donated caravans to those who need help. It’s been devastating going on to people’s farms seeing the extent of damage.

I give her a good clean today looking for rust it was completely full off rat dung, dirt, leaves. bullets plus spare plugs points etc. I found the missing master cylinder some early turn signal lenses.
The good the bad and the ugly.

Tray coming off next weekend so I can give the old girl a good bath. Let’s see how she looks in her 57 year old Capri patina.

What rust it has in the body is repairable but the roof is the worst. The chassis is in very good condition with surface rust only.
The tray back has been welded to the chassis so 4 inch grinder be required for removal. Stay tuned for the next update with pics.

The F engine in it doesn’t match compliance plate and it’s locked up with heavy rust. Looks like the 1979 2f is going in her.
