I can't believe I'm actually doing this but unfortunetely the time has come for me to move my baby. Getting married in 6 months and the dreaded practical argument has entered my head. Wanted to have an opportunity to sell her to a Cruiserhead so I thought I would post her here first before I explore other sales options.

Beautifully restored, professionally built, rust free body, California 1972 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser with 756 miles.

The garaged Cruiser was built by the Land Cruiser specialists at BTB Products. BTB Product's custom built FJ40s have sold for well over $100,000. Here is your opportunity to own a vehicle built by mechanical engineers & Land Cruiser enthusiasts. This smog exempt "Show" quality vehicle is ready for the trail or the highway. Almost every part, nut, bolt, bearing & gasket has been replaced by a new one and the old ones have been painstakingly cleaned, sandblasted and painted. I am confident this is the nicest Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 available - You can EAT off the exhaust manifolds and frame.

I am the 2nd owner of the cruiser. The 1st owner used the cruiser on his vineyard in Paso Robles California. I have invested many years and a lot of love in this Cruiser. It is very painful to part with my FJ40, but like I said I'm getting married this summer and it has come time to pass her on to someone who will love and appreciate her as much as I have. She is simply the most beautiful Toyota Land Cruiser I have ever seen. It would be difficult to find a cleaner Cruiser for sale. My loss is your fortuitous gain. I have 180 photos of the Cruiser & the restoration process at the link below. http://s86.photobucket.com/albums/k106/jtelford/

The Cruiser is located in San Francisco CA. Willing to assist in Shipping or pickup.

I'm asking $20,000 OBO

*SERIOUS BUYERS* If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by PM or email.

too little

It's a very nice rig, I've had it for a year now. Jim let it sit WAY too much, the primary work was done in 1993 for the engine and frame, suspension and steering at BTB... the paint and a lot of other work was done in 2003. I did bring back a stack of receipts that added up to some $85,000. He had all the work done to it so he paid a ton in labor costs. It recently appraised for $90k by Auto Appriasals Network, so I have it insured for that. That's the same guys that did all the appraisals for Boyd Coddington.

I bought it in 2007 with <800 miles on it. It has had a lot of issues from sitting for so long. The radiator was a RUST BUCKET, which I am about to replace it with an aluminum job. The oil in all the trannies/diffs had long since gone to hell, the plug wires were all shot, the plugs were shot, the header gaskets were breaking apart so it had a good exhaust leak, I recently blew out the radio, the electric/heated/cooled seats don't work (yet), the tie-rod ends are shot (about to replace this weekend), and I think I may have a brake issue, but not willing to troubleshoot that until the tie-rods are replaced. Oh and I just put an Edelbrock 650 Thunder Off-Road carb on it and a set of GY Silent Armor 35x12.5x15's on it. The 15 year old BFG Mudders had to go, just due to not being safe due to their age.

Other than that, it runs GREAT and is in Excellent condition, looks great, is fun to drive. I can't off-road it until I get the new cooling system installed as it would overheat RAPIDLY with that POS radiator. People ask me all the time if it's a new Toyota Model. It still looks new, it has an awesome paint job on it.

We've had alot of hail around here, and If I had that insured for 90k, you can bet your ass it'd be sitting in the middle of the street! Nice rig tho, congrats!
