80 series dual filler neck for trade:

I noticed that some aren't happy with the Y filler neck. Anyone want to trade?

Ive posted a thread in the classified regarding this.

The rear brackets for my tank were all messed up as well. I had to drill new holes for the one and cut and weld the other as it was orientated the wrong way. I did notice your brackets sit with the horizontal portion towards the top which raises the tank a little. I couldn't get mine to fit in that direction and had to mount them with the horizontal portion towards the bottom with the tank resting on top of them. Maybe it take away another 1" or so of ground clearance at most. not ideal but i couldn't figure out another way.

Hey Adrian, I had the same issue with the brackets that I modeled after yours. Turns out they were all jacked up and had to be re-drilled and cut and re-welded. Stupid brackets. I bought a second LC and am going to add a subtank to it as well. I will do it differently this time and try to support the tank via the frame rails instead of the back crossmember. The FR tank turned out to be a pain in the rear...since I copied it directly before shipping it to you. Ugh.

The fuel filler neck sucks. I tried to trim down the vent tubes a bit but I'm with you, there is just too much going on in that area for it to fit properly. Did you ever order a Toyota neck? I'm thinking I'm going to but I can't decide if I should get the 100 series or the 80 series. I'd prefer the 80 series with the valve but not sure if it will fit. Regardless I'll be welding in a small tube into the main line fill tube for the transfer hose to connect to.

Glad you ordered the one from Japan. Did you work with Dave on that? I have to order up an additional one for my second LC. That really is the only way to go. Or use the 80 series version if possible.

Sorry I haven't seen this...this is the first time I logged in to ih8mud for quite some time. I have been so busy at work and looking to source a diesel LC from overseas...been spending most of the time on lcool. Anyway, glad you go it installed. I would love to see some pics if you have a chance.
