Hey everyone - wanted jump in and introduce myself and the newest member of my automotive family. I recently purchased a 2006 UZJ100 from a family member who was ready to move into a newer vehicle. My first vehicle was a 99 UZJ100 that I sold to pay off college debt, and I have regretted that sale on and off almost weekly for the past 12 years.

My "new" Cruiser has 280K miles on the clock, bone stock as far as mods go, non-AHC and rust free since it has lived its life in Texas and Arkansas. It recently had the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, heater Ts and drive belt serviced, as well as new tires (guess I can live with the Geolandar ATs for now). None of the suspension components are in dire need of replacement, but I will be keeping a close eye on things and may slowly work through the control arms and bushings as time (and/or money) allows.

I'm am amateur at turning the wrench, but hoping to dive into doing some of my own work where it makes sense. Looking forward to soaking in everything on the boards and sharing updates as I get this gal in shape for some light wheeling and backroad adventuring!

The 06/07 on factory everything just look so good as it sits, timeless. Congratulations enjoy it in good health.

Slow and steady bushing replacement has been the most satisfying refresh work I've ever done on a vehicle - it's addicting!

Congrats on the new 100. Funny that miles don't matter on these, mine has 308k and I'd take it anywhere tomorrow !

^^^ Miles don't matter if its been maintained throughout its life and not rusty due to salt. If its been neglected you will have quite a list of items to address and a large hole in your wallet.
