Hi Too Tall, thanks for pointing this out, It was really an amazing sight for sure, and we discussed doing the Right Thing and according to the what I was taught it is best NOT to handle any infant animals because our human sent can in-print onto it and possibly be rejected by the mother animal. Here is a link to an extensive study done by the Penn State College regarding this, according to this study we did the right thing:

Chances are the mother was within 20' hiding. You guys did the right thing.
