I know the feeling Josh, @ErikinSC stole an ultra clean 80 restored by the Toyota sales manager from me, literally, 2 doors down...my neighbor. This is a rough crowd, I used to be a nice guy, but no more. :devil:

There's a '98-00 that's been for sale for a year in Mt Pleasant, parked at a equipment rental place, Bowman Rd & Chuck Dawly. It started at $7,500, but now down to $6,500. I'm assuming there's plenty of negotiating room. Maybe @dbenke can post a pic when it drives by it. I think thats Hughes Equipment Rental, 843-881-7368. Don't tell Erik you're interested, he's becoming a hoarder.

I'll see if I can get some tomorrow. The price on it today was $7500.
He started at $9900 a couple of months ago. It went away for a short time, then showed up again with a lower price.

I can see @dbenke using "the force" to tell the seller that $5k is how much you want for this vehicle.....and if that doesn't work @ErikinSC, @Beau Diddly & @CharlestonG8R strong arming him like the Charleston Mafia for you!
 
I know when it first appeared, it had $9900 firm. Obviously that didn't happen.

Stole !? Seriously? He posted it on CL, i waited the customary 6 minutes, then texted him with a full price offfer.... What part of STOLE is that !!! I did negotiate a better price once I realized that yáll knew each other - couldn't pay full asking knowing that....

I texted the guy in NC about that $3500 cruiser, but missed out on it. Some fella with a stick up his tailpipe was trolling my WTB Thread, and got a jump on me. Looks like my daughter will have to walk UPHILL to / from school, in the snow, again this year. I can't get a break. Maybe I should try to find a 100 series...

As for the 80, the "dealer" is still waiting on the title from the bank, so I'll pick it up Tue/Wed.

Thanks Erik, I'll probably round-up a ride around here, but may need a tow truck when I get about half-way back. This was an auction 80, no mechanic on staff at the quaint "dealer", and me rolling the dice. I don't always have the best of luck when it comes to vehicles. I may be calling you on the side of Hwy 41 asking if you're still interested in a gently used 80.

Im looking to go 4.10 in my 60. Those fj40 3rd members would bolt in correct? What kind of shape are they in and would you split them?

Yes the would be a bolt in. I don't mind splitting them up. I do know they both need a new pinion seal. But that's about it. Haven't opened up the axles yet to inspect.

Cool im interested. My rear pinion bearing is on its way out and would rather just clean up a whole 3rd for a quick swap. Let me know when you wanna bust them apart and ill give you a hand if you want.

We've opened the search to include a RAV4.... possibly a Highlander, but there can be only one.
