To me if you want to wheel hard stuff get a rig thats better at it out the box. Not a land cruiser, to much rear over hang, weighs to much, small front ring and pinion..blah blah the list goes on about reasons these are not the best hardcore wheelers. If you want an expo rig that can do hardcore wheeling grab an old junk 4Runner cheap and build it. 3rz, longs, dual cases, 37's and beat on it or load the fam up cruise easy trails. Don't get me wrong i just got back from Moab in my 80, they are very capable. As a matter of fact almost to capable, I found myself pushing the limits a few times and had to tell myself, this isn't why I bought an 80. 80's to me are for moderate wheeling and smooth off-road exploring.
