There super proud of there cars and sort asses sometimes. I'd offer $4500 and make a case for it. There's a 40th anniversary in Pelham and its been there over 6 months. They'd take anything for it I think.
 
pretty spot on for a 97 though.

I actually drove this one and got the former owner's number. Said he had the trans rebuilt by mr transmission in pelham, but a leak still formed. Former owner also said there was a front engine leak somewhere as well. No maintenance records were available and he was not sure what had been done in the 3 years he owned it. I ended up passing on it, but it did look solid cosmetically. PM me if you want to call the guy that traded it in.

Sadly, I have to move it. soon. So any low-ball offers may be accepted. The title is in the mail so if you were to buy it this week, I won;t have it to give you. But I have $4000 into this rig and that does not include renting trailers to haul it back, and then to get the HG fixed...

The good. New OEM HG with new OEM belts and new radiator. 34" BFG AT's
The bad. radio harness seems to not get power. speedo doesn't work, even after replacing the speedo sensor. CEL light on from a bad knock sensor.
front seats are shot, worst I've ever seen. Drivers door handle is broken, again.

I told you how much I got in it... so now make me an offer, my feelings won't get hurt if you're serious.

You interested in trades? I've got a fully built CJ-7 that only needs a tub swap. I've got two jeeps so one has to go.
 
Cash is king right now. Need monies, since I got the new job and won't get paid first pay period. So basically six weeks without a paycheck. Sucks, but oh well.

I've got a YJ tub lined up for $800, but just keep running out of time and I would rather spend my time starting my 5.3 vortec swap in my bone stock 1989 YJ Wrangler instead.

I have a '77 CJ7 with the stock 304V8 (with a new dual flowmaster exhaust from the Offroad Connection), AMC th400 rebuilt, Quadratrac converted to partime with new chain, seals, and bearings, dana 30 front with chromoly axles, detroit locker, new bearings, seals, brakes and warn hubs, and rear AMC 20 with one piece chromoly axles, detroit locker, axles brace and new brakes. 4" lift with new stainless braided lines, all new hardware and greasable shackles, 33" super swamper radials, etc.

My plan, if the tub comes through, is to have a friend paint the tub and front clip at his shop, swap them over a weekend, and put it up on ebay where "restored" CJs are fetching premium prices.

Its the orange CJ (factory color) next to my old crawler I sold
