I threw a $10k bid on it for the hell of it. I did that once and accidentaly bought a CJ-7 :bounce:

Turns out when he sent me the VIN the same truck is for sale in KY, AZ, and ND. And when I search his email address he has tried to 'sell' numerous cars way below there value. It's a classic scam, but he's brighter than most scammers. Ill give him that.

But it cost money to put cars on eBay? I had to pay for each picture I uploaded. Then I had to pay to select a starting price and I had to pay to include a reserve.

he probably was going to steal the deposit and run. I always make people pay a $2000 deposit via paypal when selling vehicles there.

Just sell that axle seperately.... sell your junk unlocked. You'll make more off it. I would not give you anymore money for a locked 80 than I would for an unlocked one honestly, and most people mess the swap up, and end up needing to hack something.

That was the point I was gonna make.

Have you priced out the factory lockers separately?

$1500 for the pair. rear end has new rotors, pads, calipers, and gear oil.

I know you can mess up the swap, thats why I decided to not use any factory wiring and just buy the locker harness from low-range. Its a cheap stand alone unit.

My 80 is on the (limited) market. You can message me for details. $4800. Fridge/tent/awning/synthetic winch line/ironman lights etc not included. If I post it in the actual for sale section the price will be higher and ill probably wait until I swap the rear end.

If anyone wants some good condition rear bumper wings $30. They have chrome trim and are in overall good condition, they were taken off before any damage came to them on the trails. I also have the center aluminum piece if you want it but its still on the truck.

I have to get a more comfortable DD. if money were no object I'd look at a gx470 hundy or 1st gen 4door taco. But I'm a baller on a budget.

More comfortable and 1st gen Taco are mutually exclusive terms, particularly coming from a cruiser. I went the other direction from a second gen, and the cruiser is loads more comfortable.

Yea but you went with a 100. I have been in all 3, 80 is the least comfortable. I thought a new seat would help, it didnt. Even if I got a plush seat though wouldn't change how she handles city driving.

I found my 80 rather comfy...especially compared to my dads 2013 taco...
Maybe it's my auburn standards ;)
Highlander seats are plush though...

80s are pretty comfortable (not compared to the 100)
