Would this work good for making extension wire for an electric trolling motor? (Need to put batteries up front so my fat a$$ doesn't sink the boat...)

Depends on the load of the trolling motor amp draw. Find the trolling motors load and google voltage loss table. My guess would you would be fine with #4 but check to be 100%

I think at 40A and 15 feet I should be ~0.5V drop, so good. Where's a good place for connectors/terminals?
