I was gonna ask how that was doing after the modifications...
I remember riding shot gun when Nick owned it and having to hold it in 4wd with my Bear Hands... not fun!

Pull the plug and add a washer or two (6 mm diameter) behind the spring. That oughta help keep it in 4WD. But won't help your driving none
