At GSMTR sitting with a bunch of southern cruisers sharing shine and stories a guy asks me "T A Q .... You gotta a guy who chopped the top off an 80?"

I said yes sir that is correct. The Foo mobile.

He asked me "is he fn crazy?"

I said no sir he's a Foo Fighter fan.

It was too funny.

I have never claimed to be sane.

I told them you were a master builder of all things cruiser and great to wheel with.

And on the rain...... ah the TN rain. Wed was rain free. Then it got cold (38 at night) and rained a lot, then rained some more then drizzled on and off until Friday AM. Friday the clouds cleared once up on the mountain and that's when the hail storm came. No kidding. Sunny, 70 and hail.

An 80 put an aluminum fan blade through the radiator in a mud hole. But we towed him home.

Some of the mud holes were deep! Like window deep. The trails got slick, the boulders got slick and slimey clay covered but we still made it over them all.

It was a great time except when my Cruiser died on the side of the road east of Paducah KY. That was a lonely feeling. But it seemed to just be bad gas. Some fresh gas on top and about 20 starts and dies and suddenly all was good. So I thought "head home or press on?" Glad I pressed on because it was a blast. Had a bit of a run in with the infamous "no 202" bunch, but we worked it out. They finally stopped picking on me for being from MO and I let them keep their front teeth. LOL. Now we're all friends, for the most part..... Cruiser love overcomes.
