Floor Mats

WalMark, Sams, and Costco sell Michelin and Mobil One synthetic as well as the cheap stuff. If you buy somewhere else, you're just paying for some retailer's brand. I'm been in branding and marketing for 30 years, so I know how powerful those advertising messages are!

If your floor mats mean that much to you, go for it. I just go through mud mats way too fast to feel good paying high dollar for something that'll hit the trash can by May or June.

check out the Kraco mud mats Costco sells, brown and gray, $15 for a set of 4.

Gosh, you guys have money to burn.
Wally-world sells a pretty good mud mat for about $10 or $12. Tan or clear. It'll hold a quart of water and mud.

About once, maybe twice a month, I drag it out of the car in the wash bay and hose it down.
In late spring, after the worst of the really ugly mud season is over, I'll leave it in the wash bay, slide the PS mat over to the DS, and buy a new one for the PS.

A lot cheaper than the options you guys are talking about, and looks just about as good IMNSHO.

I hear you EllTee. I got the Sams/Costco set 4 years ago. Got them in my Ram and my LC. When Dirty, powerwash to return to Like New condition. They run $20 a set (4) these days. Ohh - in the LC, a small modification with a razor knife is necessary on the driver side. .... To get around that left foot rest.

Well I have to say that yes, there is alway a "cheaper" option, but the Catch-All brand floor mats do fit exceptionaly well and they are extremely durable. Very well made product and I used them for the last 3 years in my Tacoma. They have cleaned up and look almost new every time.

So good looking out everyone who posted options. Cheap and expensive, I like to have options.

Has any 98-2000 owner installed the Toyota All Weather Mats? Toyota shows them available for 2001- on up. I can't imagine the floorboards being that different, if at all. Perhaps they didn't come out with them until 2001 and they don't show them as retro-fitting.

I have the Lexus OEM rubber mats that look just like the ones on that website. The fronts are okay but the rear ones suck. They don't even cover the full width of the vehicle. The middle section (about 10") is left uncovered.

I would like to get front mats that cover a greater area. I think I am going to try the "Catch all" floor mats that Christo recommended. Anybody have a picture of them in a LC/LX?

Last week I priced the OEM rubber mats from the dealer: $120 for Lexus, $90 for LC.

Apparently the "Lexus" name is "worth" $30 more for the exact same mat.

I bought a set (4 piece) of the OEM Toyota ones for the 98 and newer off of Ebay a while back for $30 plus shipping ($10). I installed them in my 89 FJ62. These were brand new, the front and back were still connected. I bought them knowing I would end up with a 100 series someday. Just got moved into the 2000 LC I just bought. They fit better in the 2000 but the color match is nicer in the 89 with brown interior. Now The 89 has Tundra all weather mats from the one I traded in. I also have some of the Walmart heavy duty that I had before that. Still keep those behind the back seats in the cargo area. They are a good heavy mat for the price, great for putting dirty greasy parts on.

I've got the husky's in my Tacoma and after using them for sometime, they just aren't made as well as the husky's used to be. They aren't molded in the correct shape and the lip is HUGE. It actually trips me up sometimes getting in and out!

Somebody needs to work out a group-buy on the catch-alls!!!!

I am using the Toyota ALL Weather Mats, they are holding up very well and the nice deep grooves hold a lot of sand, slush and mud..The fronts fit PERFECT in my 2000....But yes, the rears SUCK !!

I wonder about that too sometimes Greg. I had husky's in a 4Runner and a Montero Sport a long time ago and they were a good fitting, durable product. This set for my Taco just sucks bad. I don't know if I got the wrong model or what happened but it kinda soured me on them.

I had the OEM All Weather mats in my 01 LC and have the Lexus ones in the LX. They wear well, work well, look nice... but as stated earlier, the two rear pieces leave a large gap unprotected for a passenger in the middle position in the 2nd row. Interestingly, the carpeted mats fit all the way across in the second row.

I have had huskies liners for some time and they work well. I have an extra set of front liners (tan) if any one is interested. They have a little wear on the drivers side but not much.

I use the Huskys in my wifes 100 and they work great. The cargo mat moves around to much for my liking though. So eventually I want to find a better solution for that.

I have these mats in my 62 and love them. They make them for the 100 also.

They are made in Australia. I actually got a set from Cool Cruisers of Texas in tan color. Unfortunatly they no longer carry them there so if I want a cargo mat I have to go with the grey from Specter.

Got the OEM rubber set in my 2001 as standard accesories. Looks very different from your Lex set, but seems to have one thing in common: a bit to small to cover the floor properly. Mine look like they are made for the 90-series maybe. Anyhow, the 2nd seat has a 3rd part covering the middle, with flaps that fit under the two side pieces. No conflict with rear heater vents.
The original fabric mats fit very well, and work well. Also came with the truck. There is even a mat for the 3rd seat row.
For the cargo area I also use the original, a thick plastic cover which is molded to fit very exact, with a good lip around the edges. Can't use it with the 3rd row seats in place tho'
Would like to have something better for winter use. The SOR vinyl sand mats look like a good shape, but probably to slippery for snowy boots. Maybe the Mats4Less Catch-All Xtreme would be good. Any experience with these?

Those look nice, they also have the identical mat w/carpet, which they have in the Oak color.
