Wanted FJZ80 in Texas

I'm a local in Austin, TX, looking for a clean and maintained fjz80 LC or LX with under 200k. Factory lockers a plus, but definitely not a necessity. I prefer the darker colors, Grey, Blue, Green, and Black (in that order) with leather. Not a big deal if front seats need to be recovered. Stock or light modification (bumper, rack, and a small lift/tires is fine)

Let me know if you run across something close to this criteria! I've been checking the area's craigslist and the like daily, but haven't came across anything promising yet.

Went and looked at a local one today, seems to be in good shape but mileage is higher than I would like at 264k. It is white (not my top pick but I don't hate it) with grey leather interior. Front axles recently serviced, new A/C compressor, stack of oil change and misc parts replaced over the last 3 years while the current owner was in possession. No coolant system work while he has owned it or any idea of the head gasket history. Does have a few slow leaks and burns a little oil. Decent AT tires. He is fixing a few items (detailing it, fixing leather on driver front seat, fixing chip on windshield, etc.) over the weekend.

The current owner is the owner of a local used car dealership FWIW. He has been driving it almost daily for the past 3 years and not had any major issues with it. He changes the oil on it every 3-4k miles with Royal Purple synthetic. Claims he would drive it to the West coast tomorrow without hesitation. He has taken it off road at the beach once or twice with the family, but no serious offroading while he has owned it. He is asking $5900.

Thoughts? It seems like a decent rig, but the high miles make me apprehensive.

I have found some nice 80s in the Lubbock area. Have had 3 now. I recently met a guy that is on the fence on selling his 97 Medium Red Pearl Collectors Edition. No lockers but the paint is very nicely kept. Inside dirty and was running rough until I helped him tune it up and clear the CEL. He was getting calls from all over the country with the "does it have lockers" question, so he took it off CL. Last I drove it, it had the airbag light on but drove and sounded ok. 189k miles if I remember correctly and has had it for many years and not mechanically inclined but took it to the same shop to service. He had it advertised for $5400 I think. Anyways, I can ask if you are serious. I myself am waiting for a couple (LX450 and 40th) to go for sale here in Lubbock. I've seen maybe around 10 80s/LXs here in the area, mostly bone stock.

Miles are not an issue.....condition and kept maintenance are. Don't fall into the miles trap. Lower doesn't always mean better.

Good looking out, Locked, but red and gold are my least favorite colors. Since this might be a vehicle I hold onto for some time, I'd rather hold off for a color I like.

It's not so much the miles that bother me, but the lack of documented coolant system and head gasket work for the miles. I was able to pull up the service history by VIN on Toyota's website, which gave my an idea of the work done from 2005-2010, and there was no mention of head gasket work or coolant system maintenance during that time period either. I know this is ONLY the work done at the dealership during that time, and it could have been done at and indy shop, but for my piece of mind, I am going to try and get a compression and leak down test done on the motor, and see if I can negotiate the price down a bit to reflect the immediate maintenance work I would need to make me feel like this is a solid rig.
