FJ80 Engine help

    Currently have a 97' FJ80. Looking for local engine help not sure what it will cost but don't want to part with it yet. My mechanic is great but not interested in pulling it or if just top end rebuilding it. Its been limping along burning oil for a while until I assume I have clogged cats that were installed 10 months/5000 miles ago. It stalled out a few weeks ago and is parked for now. I have not tried to disconnect the exhaust but pretty sure it will run so I can atleast get it somewhere to get looked at. I appreciate any help in locating someone who can work on it and any sense what it could cost.

    Recommend you reach out to Blair @dci blair He has worked on several member's trucks including mine and does great work. He works at a shop called Tommy's in West Chester. Best of luck with the truck.

    what makes you think the new cats are clogged?
    that's not really something that can happen.

    yellow jacket - thank you for referral I will reach out.

    brian - I have had exhaust pushing back into vehicle for a little while and figure stalling was caused by exhaust shutting down
