Currently have a 97' FJ80. Looking for local engine help not sure what it will cost but don't want to part with it yet. My mechanic is great but not interested in pulling it or if just top end rebuilding it. Its been limping along burning oil for a while until I assume I have clogged cats that were installed 10 months/5000 miles ago. It stalled out a few weeks ago and is parked for now. I have not tried to disconnect the exhaust but pretty sure it will run so I can atleast get it somewhere to get looked at. I appreciate any help in locating someone who can work on it and any sense what it could cost.
