yeah, i was driving around looking for the canadian tire where i was meeting my friends for some offroading. i saw the pretty 40 and had to stop for a coffee to look at it closer. thanks for the directions dan!!that is one clean rig

i must say that almost 1/2 if not more the land cruisers i see in ontario are diesels, which is nice!

quick update: im at 10000km since the swap, with lots of off roading;its been fun and hard work.
i had overheating issues due to offroading
then my alternator stopped charging
and i got lots of black smoke so i thought id try reman'd injectors
brake lights stoped working, blew a headlight...

2month later...:
well, after replacing my 'front main' i left for a 5000km journey for my vacation travelling around the extented regions of the ottawa valley.

i am now up to 20000kms since the swap and loving it. i never want a gas truck again. i saved a lot of money verus cost of gasoline, and love the low end torque for offroading.

i sitll got a black smoke issue, but ill talk to the diesel guys about that
also adding minor quantity of acetone to each fill up with good results... 19mpg or ~12L/100km

Just read this for the first time and jealousy is setting in. Good work!

so over 25000km since the swap,

i put on some 32s m/ts and the mileage has gone way down

and i finally put swtiches on [each] light so i dont have to plug them in manually anymore... :D

i made some harness (aka s***loads of wires all over)
by the time i was on the third beam it started to be organised.
no relays...

heres a quick diagram. i did seperate wires for each light
you must of complete third grade schooling to understand this

remember: this is a 24v system and 12v beams
harness.webp
