Hello, noob question for everyone:

I have had my 1988 FJ62 for a little over 2 weeks now, so I am still getting a handle on what is normal for these trucks. I noticed that on the interstate traveling at 60 mph, my engine is running at 2000 RPM. This is on flat sections, and the engine just slows down with the truck's speed as I let off the gas.

I do have 31" tires on the truck, and I have no reason to think the gearing is anything other than stock.

Is this high of RPM typical? I know on my old Silverado with a 4 speed, the overdrive would kick in and drop the RPMs down to 1500 even at 70 MPH.

Again, this is my first FJ62, so I am just trying to find out what is "normal" for these vehicles.
