I recently pulled my factory stereo out of my FJ62 in favor of an aftermarket unit. The factory piece is in great working order despite the paint and symbols on several of the buttons being totally worn off (a couple of them do stick on occasion, so they can't be pressed too hard) and the tape player spitting tapes back out when inserted.
