Is that an original color?

Looks amazing!

to hell with gas mileage.

That's what I tell everyone who looks at me like a fool for driving my 62 daily. F 'em I say!

I DO WHAT I WANT!

Glad you're not selling. F THAT MESS!

Forgot to ask...

What steering wheel is that?

Looks pretty beefy/comfy.

Mods- please delete this thread- no longer for sale- When life deals you sh*t, fight back.

HELL YEA!!! Woo Hoo!!! Now yer talkin'!
I have to admit that I was pleased to see your decision here.
Like my old boot camp Drill Sgt. used to say..."Deal wid it!" (thanks Sarge, wherever you are:clap:)

I would regret until the day I die. so to hell with gas mileage.

Amen to that my friend. I faced a similar dilema about a year or so ago.
I was driving about 150/day on a slow day, and the 62 was eating me out of house and home @ $4.00+/gal. at the time!:bang:

Tried to sell but the timing was terrible. Was at the height of the U.S. fuel rape:mad: and nothing over the size of a postage stamp was selling. Add to that the financial crises we've been thrown into and no one was buying.

On top of all that, I really like the cruiser:( but was in a similar position as you, didn't feel like I had much of a choice?

Then I started looking for something else.

I found a killer deal on a new Scion Xd through my local Toyota dealership.
Generally won't buy cars new, but I couldn't say no to this deal.

On a side note, several of the sales people kept trying to buy the Landcruiser, including the uber hottie/little "spinner" type that sold me the Scion!:D.
They kept making comments like"they don't build 'em like that anymore" (*note*-There's probably a reason for that ) and "that's so cool!" (that was from the hottie:D)

It made me proud to own it and realize how unique it really is.

Anyway, I bought the Xd and parked the truck for the better part of a year.

I'm glad I kept it.

It's PAID FOR, any mods, upgrades that I do to it will be PAID FOR, you still can't beat the "coolness factor" with the new trucks!
It's my toy...my stress reliever.

I can guarantee you won't regret this:cheers:

the other reality is I cant get what I want for it and it is just not worth letting it go for 8-10k-

I agree.
That truck is worth much more than that. Unfortunately, as we all know, the stark reality is, we'll probably never get what they're really worth in the condition yours is in:frown:

It would have been a shame to see you sell it for some rediculously cheap amount after all the work and effort you've put into it (not to mention the $$$)

And, if it's of any consolation, yours is one of the inspirations for my 62 rebuild.

Congratulations on your decision. I know it was a tough one, but I truly think it was the right one. If fuel costs are a problem, get a DD beater, or check the bank/credit union repo lots, the dealer auctions and other local resources, for a cheap DD, and enjoy your LC:cheers:

BTW, as NYC asked, what steering wheel is that? It's perfect!

I really appreciate the feedback. Makes it easier. The wheel is a Lecarra- The was a beat up one on the truck when I bought it so I just replaced.
