Trying to source a new belt for an 82 fj60 with aftermarket air conditioning, I removed the belt and measured it and it measures 71 3/4 " on the outside diameter. The truck has an aftermarket York AC system. The belt routes around the crank pulley power steering pulley alternator then the AC compressor. Just trying to verify what is the correct belt width for this belt I've seen conflicting information of 17 mm and 19 mm and 19/32". Where's the best place to source these belts also? I'm also going to replace the belt to the smog pump while I'm in there, I think Toyota still sells this belt so I was just going to source it from them but does anyone know what the dimensions on that one are? I didn't want to just trust the ones I pulled off the truck in case they were wrong.

Cruiser matt also has a three belt Toyota kit and I noticed two are cogged and one is smooth I'm not which ones are supposed to be smooth or cogged?

I would take it to an auto parts house, they can/should measure it and give you the correct belt for what you have
the tool has 2 half circles and slides, it measures width and length

I guess what I'm getting at does anyone know if the original belts from the factory were
15 mm or 17 mm in width? The belt I took off matches up to 15mm but from what little bit I found 17mm seems to be the correct part from the factory?

The original belts are 17mm / 17mm / 15mm. The AC belt is the narrower one.

I'm thinking the OP has a 2 belt setup not the OEM 3 belt setup
as he stated it goes crank, alt, a/c and ps
so maybe it is a 17mm?

Sorry, yes, he has an 82 with the aftermarket AC, they run the AC off the middle groove (17mm) and have a damper instead of a 3rd groove for AC like a "normal" 60.
