I have been thinking about getting a used 4-wheel pop up camper and doing something similar to my rusty pig.
Kind of like the old broncos and blazers that had pop ups.

Would love to fab an old westy top to the top of the Cruiser, or a Wildernest. I've seen some pics but have no fab skills or tools...

You can get a truck slide in camper pretty cheap. That might be a place to start.
