FJ55 leaf spring bushing part number

Was at napa poking around, and came across this number, turns out NAPA carries the OEM FJ55 bushing part number... They didn't have in stock, takes about a day or two to get here in Utah but supposedly its the right number if anyone wants to check it out. Napa 274-6587

Wondering if this part number worked out and if it fit properly.

Was looking at these in the fs section but, not sure if 40 bushings will fit in 55 springs (still searching around) Does anyone happen to know

They don't fit. I learned the really hard way after fighting with CCOT for about two weeks. FJ40 bushings are too small and FJ60 bushings are too big. Supposedly, CCOT carries them now after my big ordeal with them. They found a supplier in Australia.

Only place I was able to get them before I found that part number is $pecter. I don't have a left sprung 55 anymore unfortunately to know I'd suggest someone order some up!

I will be... I now have 3 that are deteriorating between the spring and bushing. Starting to make me nervous on the road.

I went to NAPA yesterday and each bushing is $2 each x 16 = $32 + S/H = ~40

Not sure if thats a good deal or not. I am ordering them today once the NAPA guy gets clarity on the number of units he will need to order.

The part number appears to be good. Its just the NAPA service that sucks.

Now I need to go back down there to buy them. The only thing I am worried about is the quality. $2 ea. is not a bad price but, it didnt sound like there were many still floating around. Will ask specifics when I get down there.

Im surprised they are somewhat reasonable. CCOT and others have a sets(granted they make you buy either 12 or 24 ) at around ~$65-70 not shipped.

After getting really frustrated, I used the FJ60 Bushings and chucked them up in the lathe and turned them down to the proper diameter. I'm gana be pissed if the NAPA ones work out...

just updating this thread....

according to NAPA the part number is listed in their cpu as
Rear spring bushings
3.9L 1979 and newer FJ-55 wagon
-according to the charts posted on mud, the dimensions listed are by model and not year so im thinking they will work for my 1972

they dont show a part # for the fronts and only sell a shackle preloaded w/ bushings according to Carol
they also could not confirm dimensions, only that they came two to a package.
I ordered a set to try on the fronts, we shall see and I'll let you know what I find

Any other options uncovered since this post???

Yes it also turns out Old Man Emu also makes a FJ55 bushing as well. Contact kurt at cruiseroutfitters.com for more info...

I really wish someone would post whether that original number works 100%...
