I know the 70s era seats are quite different (like 1978) - but the '65ish ones should be the same for several years. SOR's listing should show the years their covers fit. I used their OEM-type covers (gray) on my '65 and they fit very well - no complaints at all.
 
I put a pristine set of 1978 FJ45 seats in storage a while back, and have been meaning to look into this question myself. I'll prolly pull them down off the shelf next Monday and let you know what I find out then.;)

I looked at them on the shelf a couple of days ago, and the one thing I noted that was different was that they had the safety catches that hold the seats in the upright position. The '60s era seats did not come with those.

I 'think' that the '70s passenger seat did not have the extra 3 inches sticking out the side over the gas tank that the '60s ones had [yeah, yeah, except for the fixed cab ones;p]
